I love the movie "Pollyanna" One summer when I was young I watched it and Pete's Dragon EVERYDAY... really every day. I wonder if I drove my mother crazy with the consistency in watching the same 2 movies over and over... My favorite scene in Pollyanna is when they play the "glad game." You know... find something to be glad about in a state of misery.
Isaac read a book to me today called "How to Be a Pirate." It is cute really... The agenda in my mind kept getting in the way of me enjoying time with my spikey headed boy. So while he read I played the "glad game"
"I'm glad I am not a Pirate...
I don't really like parrots...
or peg legs."

I thought my brothers and I were the only ones who really loved Pete's Dragon!! :)
I'm going to work on being better at playing the Glad Game! Thanks for the reminder.
Oh, and have you read the book that came after How I Became a Pirate? It's called Pirates Don't Change Diapers...it's a great one too!
You know last week I saw a man walking down the sidewalk in downtown salt lake with a big bird (I don't know what kind but something that eats more than crackers) on his shoulder in broad daylight. I had to laugh right out loud.
It's pretty obvious all of you will NOT being participants in "Talke Like A Pirate Day" this year. Arrrrr.
I love Pete's Dragon!!! I make my kids watch it too. We like that book too. And, congrats on you news!
