Wishy Washy Wednesday

I hear Wednesday is the day for wishes.

I wish someone would collect all these random letters for me... There is a wall upstairs wishing to be dressed.

The Glad Game...

I love the movie "Pollyanna" One summer when I was young I watched it and Pete's Dragon EVERYDAY... really every day. I wonder if I drove my mother crazy with the consistency in watching the same 2 movies over and over... My favorite scene in Pollyanna is when they play the "glad game." You know... find something to be glad about in a state of misery.
Isaac read a book to me today called "How to Be a Pirate." It is cute really... The agenda in my mind kept getting in the way of me enjoying time with my spikey headed boy. So while he read I played the "glad game"

"I'm glad I am not a Pirate...
I don't really like parrots...
or peg legs."

Waiting...

I waited a long time for Mr. Noah boy to come to this earth so I could be his earthly Mama and my Marc-a-Roni his earthly Daddy-O.
I was helping Isaac with his chores today. He has empty the dishwasher this week. As I put assembled bottles and sippy cups my throat tied up... you know what I am talking about... tight Just before the eyes fill with sweet salty tears of joy. I pushed them back... like I ALWAYS try to do...

look at the BEAUTIFUL babies the Lord has blessed my Mr. and I have been entrusted with. I AM OVER JOYED from the LOVE {HE} has show us.
And to think... {HE} is busy wrapping up my

SOMETHING PINK.

If it is anything like the last 4 times {HE} uses the BEST gift wrap

& the most exquisite bows.

Domino Effect

I started off my morning at 6am with these...
Ever heard of the Domino Effect? That's what is happening at the RitterB's. We are having carpet installed on Monday in the front room, dining room , Master Bedroom and Closet.

Our house doesn't feel new anymore. The trim needs to be painted. yuck. Do you have ANY idea how much freakin' trim we have here! IT IS EVERYWHERE! It doesn't stop... it feels endless. Marc and I have been burning the candle at both ends. We are beyond tired... We are exhasted. We don't feel 20 anymore. Maybe, Just Maybe that's because being 20 was almost 20 years ago!
I feel like my house looks like this.... The dining room set is in the garage. Our bedroom set is pushed to the middle of the room... Just for now. Since we painted the walls grey on MONDAY... The trim is next. We haven't even started on the front room. And our Closet? We have too many clothes... Too many shoes... Too many.... It's going to be downsized!
Did I mention we are doing all this with 3 extra of these?
Funny thing is... It is ALL good! While I am clean, moving, ripping, sanding, painting, aching... All I can think about is THIS!

My "Something Pink" that is preparing for her grand entrance in July!

Awe Shucks...

When I was in 1st grade my favorite shirt was red and had a screen print of a girl with a caption that read:

"I know I'm Somebody, Cuz God Don't Make No Junk!"
I loved this shirt. I bet I wore it every week... maybe more then once a week.

Our family home evening tonight consisted of {painting our room} not real churchy.. not really a family activity either.. but sometime the job just needs to get done right?

So here I am super duper TIRED... waiting for paint to dry. While waiting I take a small moment to blog stalk. To my surprise I find that I have been tributed! Thanks Mel! You have made me feel super special tonight! The moment I saw your post I remembered my special shirt!

Alright now fellow "blog Stalkers" take yourself over to Melanie's blog! She is fun and sassy...just what the doctor has ordered!

Girls Weekend

I have an aunt that has 5 girls. NO BOYS. They lived with us for 3 months when I was little. I am guessing it was 3 months of drama. We have drama here... and we only have 1 girl!

My aunt and 3 of her girls live only 5 hours from me. Marc-a-Roni drive through their town on the way to visit his family. I always want to stop for a visit but we never do. Time is always the issue.

I have lived here in Kansas City for 10 years. NOT once have we had a girls weekend.

A weekend full of giggles and cries.

A weekend to release our crafty ideas...

A weekend full of gossip and memories.

NOT ONCE.

Until now.

It all started at shortly after midnight on Thursday.
Friday we sent the boys to school and Jordie let Jordie play "hookie!'

We ate lunch at Firehouse with Noah Boy...YUM

Let "Princess" Carson dress as she wished

Shopped until our legs could carry us NO more... We would have gone longer then that but Holly knew what was good for us and made us go home...

We rode a Pedicure roller coaster... It was lots of fun...
We read magazines and poked fun of celebrities.

I thought maybe I would be inspired if I wore Haley's "glasses" and Carson's glitter hat while doing crafts. I wasn't.
I think it was because we stayed up into the wee hours of the night

Holly and Ashley received {Make-Overs} compliments of Mama and Girl RitterB! Pretty huh!?!

For the record 3 of these were consumed this weekend

Thanks for coming girls. Thanks Marc-a-Roni for taking the kids for the evening! This new tradition will be remembered for many many moons!

Carrot Cake

If all of the eight desserts listed below were sitting in front of you, which would you choose (sorry, you can only pick one)! Trust me...this is very accurate. Pick your dessert, and then look to see what psychiatrists think about you.

REMEMBER - No Cheating. Make your choice before you check the meaning.

Here are your choices:
1. Angel Food Cake
2. Brownies
3. Lemon Meringue Pie
4. Vanilla Cake With Chocolate Icing
5. Strawberry Short Cake
6. Chocolate
7.Carrot Cake

ANGEL FOOD CAKE -- Sweet, loving, cuddly. You love all warm and fuzzy items. You are a little nutty at times. Sometimes you need an ice cream cone at the end of the day. Others perceive you as being childlike and immature at times. BROWNIES -- You are adventurous, love new ideas, and are a champion of underdogs and a slayer of dragons. When tempers flare up you whip out your saber. You are always the oddball with a unique sense of humor and direction. You tend to be very loyal.
LEMON MERINGUE PIE -- Smooth, sexy, & articulate with your hands, you are an excellent caregiver and a good teacher. But don't try to walk and chew gum at the same time. A bit of a diva at times, you set your own style because you do your own thing. You shine when it comes to helping others and have many friends.
VANILLA CAKE WITH CHOCOLATE ICING -- Fun-loving, sassy, humorous, not very grounded in life; very indecisive and lacking motivation. Everyone enjoys being around you, but you are a practical joker. Others should be cautious in making you mad. However, you are a friend for life.
STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE -- Romantic, warm, loving. You care about other people, can be counted on in a pinch and expect the same in return. Intuitively keen. You can be very emotional at times but a true person in every way. You like to do things for yourself and help others learn about themselves.
CHOCOLATE CAKE WITH CHOCOLATE ICING -- Sexy; always ready to give and receive. Very creative, adventurous, ambitious, and passionate. You can appear to have a cold exterior but are warm on the inside. Not afraid to take chances.. Will not settle for anything average in life. Love to laugh.
ICE CREAM -- You like sports, whether it is baseball, football, basketball, or soccer. If you could, you would like to participate, but you enjoy watching sports. You don't like to give up the remote control. You tend to be self-centered and high maintenance.
CARROT CAKE -- You are a very fun loving person, who likes to laugh. You are fun to be with. People like to hang out with you. You are a very warm hearted person and a little quirky at times. You have many loyal friends. You were meant to lead and teach others. You are a wonderful role model.

Noah Boy can't understand the new feeling on top of his noggin!

We have all caught him just rubbing his head in be wonderment!

A Right of Passage

Yes, I know I have been in denial.

I know there is an unspoken rule that you don't cut your
brown baby boys hair before he is
ONE.
Of course I know that after his first birthday you MUST take him to the Barber to have the MUCH LOVED splotchy fro
buzzed to the nothings.
I know it... REALLY... I know.

Today Baby Boy and I set out for a "Right of Passage" adventure.

He hated the whole experience.
He ended up sitting on my lap screaming bloody murder
while "Cle" the Barber
clipped and combed away.
As SICK as I was to listen to Marc-a-Roni's plea to have his hair cut...
Little Man turned out just fine.
He is a handsome little man now.

My Dad Once Told Me....

Sometimes Heavenly Father gives us what we ask for.
Something "Pink" should be coming sometime around
July 11th.
More details to come..............

The area I now call home is filled with these...
WILD TURKEYS!
I love them! I get so excited to point them out to the kids.
Pretty little things.
One day I had one of these...
We should call our little homeland
"Wild Turkey Hill"
I thought I was so smart!
Until my friend told me about this...
Maybe my next idea will be a better one.

Dear Mrs. McAtee,

I have a case of
{Bloggers Constipation}

Maybe it is because of this...
Or maybe I just need one of these.
I'll be back soon... I just need a laxitive.
