I absolutely LOVE the site and sound of a thunderstorm here in Missouri. The seem to come from out of nowhere and then pour buckets and buckets of water! Sometimes the magnificent power of the storms are a bit UN-nerving but most of the time, for me, they are a calming to my soul. For the most part they go as fast as they come which seems to be the result of this mornings down pour. I am super grateful for the rain we are giving. I can not imagine living in a place where you can go months and months and not see, hear, smell, feel the glorious rain! Today: I love living in Missouri!

Yes, the rain is calming, and it helps my kids to sleep in! Great for my garden also. We have been very fortunate this year...

I LOVE a good thunderstorm too! At least as long as Eric is in town.
I so love the rain so that is why I live in a desert.
i agree. Nothing like a good Midwest rain storm. Makes me feel at home!
You would never make it in Central Texas! When we drove to Georgia a few weeks ago we were all shocked by how GREEN everything was along the way, because everything here is always fried and dead!!!
Storms and awesome legal fireworks! 2 of the BEST things Missouri's got going for it!
